"My name is Christy.  I have been blessed to be the director at First Baptist Church Weekday Preschool Program for the past five years.  Working with children has always been a passion of mine, and I am so thankful that God has given me this special opportunity!  There is nothing like walking into the classroom and hearing "Hi, Ms. Christy" from young, energetic friends.  I enjoy being able to witness a child using their imagination at blocks and dramatic play, or watching a child discover the different things they can do with sand, water, and a sifter or measuring cup at the water table.  It makes me smile every time a preschooler says their bible verse or gets excited about something new they have learned or achieved.  As director, I also have the opportunity to introduce parents to the fun and fulfilling preschool experience.  I am very pleased to meet new parents and answer their many questions, and consider it a blessing when they choose to enroll their child.  I pray that we will be able to continue reaching out to our preschool families and our neighbors within the community."

"My name is Kim.  I have been a teacher at First Baptist Preschool since the Fall of 2002.  I am married and have three children.  I really enjoy working with children.  I love watching the joy on a child's face when they master a certain task that we are working on, can recite a Bible verse we are learning or can retell our Bible story.  There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child grow spiritually, physically, socially and emotionally."

"Hi, my name is Maureen.  My husband and I have been attending First Baptist Church for the last 15 years.  We have 4 children and one grandchild.  I have been a preschool teacher for over 5 years and worked for the last 10 years with children in our church.  I enjoy teaching children Bible stories and demonstrating God's love by being understanding and showing compassion.  My goal is to make your child's first experience with school a positive one by providing Christian love and caring."

Hello! My name is Miss Kim. I am an afternoon teacher and have been teaching at the preschool since the 2000 school year. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and teaching them about God and preparing them for their future school experience. I have been attending First Baptist Church, Elkton since 1978 and have been a member here since the 1980’s. Not only was I married in this church but all four of our children were dedicated and raised in this church as well. All four went through FBC Preschool . I can say personally how reassured we were to know that our children were in a caring environment that promoted safety and security for them to learn and grow. Now that my children are older, I feel that God has called me to pass that on to others as well. I look forward to working with your child!

"My name is Linda. I have worked at First Baptist Preschool for twelve years.  God gives us each different gifts and I truly believe that my gift is working with children.  I have taught Sunday School and Mission Friends. Also working during the summer with Bible school.  I love being around children.  I could write a book about their funny sayings, like "Miss Linda, I don't like to say that scary part when we pledge to the flag."  "Honey, what scary part?"  "Miss Linda, you know, that part about where the witches stand!"  One day while sitting in a small chair during story time, one little boy said, "Miss Linda, your butt is too big for that chair!"  God blesses me each day through the children.  I just pray that He will keep me sensitive to their needs.  After all we are their temporary moms while they are with us."
