Our Purpose is to carry out the Great Commission of our Lord (Matthew 28:18-20) We are autonomous, voluntarily affiliated with The Southern Baptist Convention, The Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware, and the Susquehanna Baptist Association. We believe that there is only one true God; He is revealed through the Bible and through Jesus. We believe that the Bible is God's true and trustworthy written word. The Bible contains God's direction for both individual believers and the church. We believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son, and was both God and fully human when here on earth. We believe that all people are created in God's image, as He originally intended. Since then, humanity has rebelled against God, are separated from Him, and all are bound for a place called Hell. We believe that only by turning from a self-driven life and trusting Jesus with their lives and future can people receive the fullness of God's love and life as He intended, instead of Hell. We believe that the Holy Spirit, who also is fully God, enables all believers to live their lives for the glory of God. We believe that all believers in Jesus will be with Him in heaven after their life on this earth is over.
